Fallen wings

After the last posting in which I reported the mysterious addition of feathers between the hands of God and Adam in the Sistine Chapel, I've had contact from two other sites which I have now formed an alliance with, as I believe that the phenomenon they are following and the ones I have been covering are somehow entertwined.

Leonard Dexter, a software engineer from Idaho contacted me with regards to the fallen wings phenomenon and the community which have begun a worldwide mapping project on the social networking site frappr. The community is growing daily and patterns are beginning to emerge, yet are still too unclear to point us to a time when we may find the answer to this mystery.

The League of Angel Believers have also been in touch expressing their wonder at the story of the Sistine Chapel. They have excellent documentation on the fallen wings phenomenon and is highly recommended for further reading.

We believe the stories featured here and the ever-increasing amount of angel-wing sitings are part of the same extraordinary and under-reported enigma.

Sistine Chapel Makeover

How can religious authority postpone a public acknowledgment of these strange apparitions any longer? A message is being put across from above, what that message is exactly is not clear, but it has begun to take unmistakable musical and stylistic references from what can only be Rock 'n Roll, a musical genre which has been at odds with Christian practices.

Is this the elaborate workings of a Banksy wannabe? We don't think so. The ceiling is an incredible 20.7 meters from ground level. No man could have covertly set themselves up within the chapel so quickly. The building security itself and cctv footage have so far found no evidence of this having been made by any human.

Above is a close-up of the famous scene in which God and (the now mohawked) Adam reach out to each other. They both seem to have had their fingernails painted black, which is a common fashion accessory within the punk and glam-rock scenes. Adam also wears a leather bracelet. By having this item on him, he is no longer nude in the painting, and therefore the meaning of this mural has changed slightly. If one looks at the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Bible, Adam and Eve only dressed themselves after the apple from the Tree of Knowledge was eaten. This alteration suggests God reached out to Adam at a different, later time.

Two falling feathers are introduced between them. What could these mean? Are they the feathers of a fallen angel? Or could they be a reference to the plight of nature in the world we live in today?

A mystery in Zug

This is no coincidence. First we had champagne, now we have Rock 'n Roll. What kind of message is being sent down from the heavens? I have transcribed the article for easy reading.

"Organist disappearance baffles community

ZUG, SWITZERLAND - It happened last Saturday while Dorris Goldfarb was apparently rehearsing for Sunday mass. What the witnesses Reverend Hans Chapin and Roland Meyer have described to investigators is nothing short of bizarre.

"I noticed an unfamiliar pink glow on the floor tiles as I was sweeping, and looked up to see where it was coming from. It was then that I saw one of the organ pipes turning an incredibly bright, almost neon pink." Says Roland, who has been volunteering and helping at the 55 year old church for nearly 25 years.

Reverend Chapin continues: "It made no sense to me, but it was mesmerising all the same. This pink neon was growing from the base of the pipe and moving up to the top, as if it was being filled by some kind of force. As this was happening the music seemed to be changing. It was becoming louder, and distorted."

It was at that point that the two realised that they had to notify their organist immediately about the strange phenomenon that she was causing.

" We rushed through to the organ chamber and that was when -" At this point Reverend Chapin breaks down and he can no longer continue the interview, but Roland Meyer describes what they saw next "A very, very bright instance of light. It filled the room and for a moment all I could see was this brilliant white. Then the room began to appear before us again, enveloped in a veil of white smoke. As the smoke receded we noticed we were into an empty room, and Dorris was not there. The seat was pulled out for playing and we could hear the pipes playing her favourite hymn: 'This is the day the light was made' "

A week has passed and investigators remain baffled over the events described. The organ has not stopped playing Dorris's favorite hymns, and the neon pink pipe has not stopped glowing. In fact, rather bizarrely, it appears this pipe has tempered the sound of the organ with the sounds of an electric guitar. "We have been hearing 70s rock versions of 'Awake, awake, ye sons of Earth' and 'Shadow of a mighty rock' for days now. Frankly, they sound pretty good."

In a final twist and possible clue as to what happened that Saturday night, Investigators have found that a new draw-knob was switched on at the time of Dorris's disappearance.
"In all my years of organ repairs, I have never seen an 'Overdrive' setting. This is something attributed to amplifiers and pedals, used in the Rock 'n' Roll genre, not organs" Says , Martin Mueller, an Organ repair specialist who has been servicing the churches organ for decades. "That knob was never there before. Frankly I find it very strange."

Since the event no one has switched the new overdrive setting off, lest they too disappear like Dorris. Visits to the church have trebled. Meetings have been arranged for the purpose of praying for Dorris's safe return, or transcendence into heaven.

Roland Meyer sums up the feelings of this small community best: "We can only assume that this was an act of God, that this was meant to happen. A miracle has happened in our church. We have to accept the fact that God works in wondrous, and often strange, creative ways. I am sure we will find out sooner then later why he has chosen to speak to us in this way. I'm sure Dorris is happy wherever she might be, and that she is making beautiful music for him right now."
